Won Baltimore Sun’s Best New Blog Mobbie Award!!

Me and my professor, Dr. Stacy Spaulding. Thanks for the cool homework? ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you so much to everyone who took the time and effort to vote for this blog in the Baltimore Sun’s 2012 Mobbie Awards, my blog won Best New Blog!! Crazy to think how this went from being my homework to having the title of Maryland’s Best New blog in a little under three months.

Thank you to everyone who has viewed, commented and read all of my postings. I do put a lot of time, effort and research into what I chose to write about so hopefully you guys won’t get bored with me anytime soon.

This is Andrew, my boyfriend. He has helped so much with this blog, both in lending expertise and film. To be honest, the man is like a film dictionary he knows so much about different types of cameras and film it makes my head spin. It’s him I call when I’m out treasure hunting to ask what’s worth it and what isn’t. So thank you for all of your help bean! ๐Ÿ™‚

Also, I think I’d like to keep this blog after my class is over with but take it in a different direction. Don’t worry, I want to keep posting about film cameras, especially super old ones and how to use them but I also want to speak more about my photojournalism journeys. It’s what I do full time and I put a lot of work and effort into getting my name out there and getting myself into as many publications as possible. It’s definitely not easy these days, especially with the the decline of the print world. Photojournalism is something I can speak about for days on end and it’s something that has really helped me see the world in so many different ways. I’d like to share it with all of you instead of letting what doesn’t get published sit and rot on my hard drive. No bueno.

Along with posting more of my own photo work, *gasp* yes most is in DIGITAL. I will try and update more of my own film work as well.
