Warning these photos aren’t very exciting. For Christmas I received a few packs of some Fuji Instax and a pack of Fuji Superia which I decided to take out last week. I haven’t really had the time to shoot any film rolls so this was my first one in WEEKS which is pretty sad. We went to this little pond after driving around through Harford County. With everything so dead and gray it was hard to find some good stuff to shoot but there is ALWAYS something.
Behold, the geese. There were a few swans involved too. There was this one swan who had this giant neck waddle…he was definitely the kingpin of the pond. His feathers and fur were all matted and he looked liked he had spent one too many years on the streets. I tried to get close to him but every time I did he snapped at me and by the looks of his neck waddle and the fact that he was easily three times the size of all the other swans he probably would have taken my arm or a leg.
This set was taken with Fuji Superia 400 and a Canon A-1.
Expect a nice set from New Year’s Eve….much more interesting than this one I promise. Did anyone get any new film cameras or rolls for Christmas? If so I’d love to post your experiences.
Love the geese shots! Getting out and shooting is so much harder due to lack of light/inspiration/nasty weather. Over the holidays I experimented with a lot of film I’ve never used before, as I shot a ton on lomography 800 and a roll of Fuji Superia 1600. Dropping them off for processing this week, excited to see the results!
So exciting! And yes I agree, this weather blows for inspiration but I always manage to find something. 🙂
Can’t wait to see your photos.
Love the pics! Reminds me of when I was a kid.. Parents would take me down to the boat launch to feed them all our old bread.
That’s awesome. I used to feed the seagulls at the beach with french fries as a kid (and now too). 🙂
