Instead of everyday portraits this holiday, I decided to mix it up and be weird by taking macro shots of eyeballs. Eyes are so crazy looking. There isn’t any such thing as just “brown” eyes or “blue” eyes – if you look super close eyes are made up of tons of colors, especially when light filters through them. I constantly check out people’s eyes, I’m a bit of a creep admittedly, but I can’t help it – like I said, eyes are so crazy looking.
Macro shooting isn’t really my thing but when I decide to use it, it’s usually on things that you wouldn’t normally get super close to, hence the eyeball. Definitely was a challenge – people blink way more than you think they do when you’re holding a lens a few millimeters from their open eye. For this I used my iPhone camera and an Ollo Clip lens attachment on the 10x macro setting. You can view more details about that here.
Hope you enjoyed my quick Thanksgiving Day post! Hope everyone out there is having a safe and fun Thanksgiving with their families.
Cool man. I see mine
And what a lovely eye it is 🙂

This is definitely something interesting to discuss about, although I was fascinated how our retinas are yet I did not went to such great lengths to analyze the details. I started a blog too http://blog.dinokfwong.com which initially for photography discussion, ended up I strayed. haha! Keep up the good work Kaitlin.
Thank you! 🙂
