Exploring NOLA, The French Quarter

New Orleans is a city I’ve always wanted to visit but for some reason or another never had the chance. First it was transportation reasons. Then I got a car. Next it was money reasons. Then I started getting more work. Next it was time restraints due to said work to make said money. I put my foot down and said enough was enough and I needed to calm the nagging voice in my head that always says to me “What are you doing here? Why aren’t you traveling and learning about different cultures and new people?” If you’ve been following me you’ll know that my life goal is to be a traveling photojournalist someday and I won’t have to choose between work and seeing new places, they’ll be one and the same. Last night Andrew and I arrived in New Orleans, LA after a twenty hour car ride after my class got out at 8:40pm the night before. That drive is brutal but doable. Also, it only cost me $60 in gas to drive 1700 miles! #TeamChevySpark.

I knew I was going to have many photos to blog so I decided to break up the blog posts and post one per day. Hope you enjoy NOLA through my eyes. Today we explored the French Quarter.

    • You’d love it here. There was a woman wearing these bright cowgirl boots and she was dancing and singing with all these kids and I was like “Jessica would love it here.” 😉
