For the past few months I’ve been in and out of airports. My boyfriend Ryan lives in Orlando, Florida so the two hour plane ride versus a thirteen hour car drive is definitely worth it. I’ve been taking long weekends here and there in-between photo assignments and it’s been nice to escape the city for a bit, even if it is only for a few days. I will say though that I do love having my car with me, it really sucks that being 25 and younger makes car rental prices skyrocket.
Before I finally relented and upgraded my seat class to “A”, I was always stuck in the aisle seat. It beats the middle, no way would I ever sit in the middle, but I prefer the window. I haven’t been shooting much for work that I can share publicly right now so I figured some fluffy iPhone cloud shots would suffice for a blog post.
Lame, lame, lame….I know. I’m sorry guys. I promise I’ll be posting more fun, creative things soon. I just have to push through these last few weeks of the semester, then I’ll bring my camera and all of you guys on vacation with me.
I really can’t wait for this semester to be over with. I’ve always been one to pile things up and tunnel through everything but this semester really kicked my ass. Between taking three graduate classes three nights a week, shooting all weekend and signing a freelance contract with a new publication (more on that later) that has me shooting all week long, I barely have time to breathe. I’m not complaining about all of the photo work – I love it and I’m lucky to have it to frequently when this industry is so volatile. However, I will be super happy when that’s all I have to focus on sans graduate school final papers.
Enjoy these cloud photos and know that more exciting things are coming.
These photos were all shot with an iPhone 6 and edited in Instasize and Afterlight photo editing apps in phone. Nothing fancy. Clouds are fancy enough without having to edit much.
