Lake Reflections, Marriage and Pretty Lighting

Processed with VSCO with b5 preset

I had the pleasure of being my boyfriend‘s date to his best friend’s wedding this past weekend. It was in a tiny church near a mountain and the reception was on a lake that reflected the sky. Beautiful and subtle, just like they are. I met a lot of really sweet people and wanted to share some of my photos with them, thus a blog post is born.

I’ve been to a lot of weddings in my life and most of them were because I was photographing them. I’ll admit, it’s much, MUCH nicer to attend as a guest and not have to worry about documenting everything taking place. I haven’t shot a wedding in years, well, except for this one, and it’s simply because I enjoy newspaper and marketing photography much more. Traveling so much makes it very difficult to commit to a date a year ahead of time. Every now and then I’ll get a pang of nostalgia for my wedding photography days and I just want to create all the love portraits. Thank god Ryan has no issues being photographed with me.These photos are pretty much what I saw and the moments that felt the most special to me on that day.

Congratulations Tim and Amanda Magnanelli, thank you all for such a fun time ❤
