Minimalism w/Color

Lately I’ve been really attracted to using color palettes to create a minimalist visual which just means nothing but my subject and color. I love having a “pop” of an unusual color in photos that would otherwise seem lackluster. People underestimate how a simple primary color or secondary color can elevate a portrait from nice to amazing. I am always on the lookout for brightly colored walls around the city; their texture and color together really add to a photo. Recently I found a handful of colored walls within a few blocks of each other. My friend Becca posted a selfie of her with pink hair and I knew it would work perfectly with the colors I had found. We braved the freezing cold on St. Patrick’s Day and collaborated on this shoot.
