Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Brett. I randomly met him last week at Light City and liked his look, so here we are. My photo concepts always start with a color palette and stem from there; bright colors, primarily colors and complementary colors really make my portraits stand out.
I came across this teal wall while location scouting the other day. I knew it would be perfect with a portrait shoot and something yellow. Luckily for us, there was a vintage market happening close by and this awesome gold silk shirt was swaying in the breeze for $10.
I used a Canon 35mm f/1.4 prime lens for these shots, usually keeping it between 2.0 and 2.8. The wall had A LOT of texture so I wanted to tone it down a bit. I also used the available light and a prism.
Hope you enjoy. You can follow Brett on Instagram @littyboybrett
