This is my first year in five years where I didn’t cover the race for a media outlet. It was actually awesome. Not that I don’t like covering it for the news every year, don’t get me wrong, but today I photographed at my leisure. I took a lot more portraits than I normally do, which is something I’ve been trying to do a lot more of (if you haven’t noticed).
