My last day of #Friendcation was spent exploring Watkins Glen State Park. The views there were amazing and well worth the burning climb of hundreds of little stone steps. If you’re venturing up that way or want to photograph some great spots in nature, I definitely recommend this place.
We had a campfire and smores one night and decided to light Chinese lanterns, you know, those paper light things that you light and they float up into the sky. We tried our best!
Today we all went to explore this winery called Great Western. It’s the oldest winery in the Finger Lakes region, established in 1860. It has eight stone buildings and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. If you want to read more about the history and the timeline, click here .
I’m spending some time in upstate New York this week with some friends on a lake. One of my friends, Stefan, has a mom (Jackie Brandow) that works at the Corning Museum of Glass as a glass blower so we got to experience the museum and learn a lot about the art of glass blowing.…
