Hello! NSFW, what a funny acronym. Sounds like “nmphfwah”. If you aren’t familiar, it means “Not Safe for Work” as in, if you view this blog post at work your boss will probably be upset if he/she catches you. Or they may be excited, who knows.
This is the first roll I have shot in a creative concept way in ages. Hadn’t seen Ashley in forever so her and I decided to be adventurous and shoot something we hadn’t done yet. I bought this amazing transparent Free People beaded slip dress in the nude color and got the inspiration for this shoot almost immediately. What better than to execute it on my favorite model?
These were shot with a Canon A-1 on a roll of Kodak Portra 400. I almost used the Superia for it but wanted more muted colors that the Portra is able to deliver. I also shot some digital with this one too, as usual. I always love comparing the difference. I took more liberty with post processing (obviously) with the digital shots and light as I did with the film. The film shots have a bit of heightened tempertature to make them consistent with each other but that it all for the editing. The digital ones have had levels and various other filters added to achieve their coloring.
Hope you enjoyed our shoot! I graduate college next week *finally* and I can’t believe it’s already here. I’m writing this from my History of Rock n’ Roll class….we’re reviewing for our final but I’m pretty solid on all the information. Hope all of those who are graduating have a great day! I still can’t get over how this blog was my homework one semester and it’s come all this way. I don’t plan on stopping it anytime soon.
Look for a post on the fashion truck festival and another video to be uploaded soon 🙂
